Gulf Air Adds Istanbul, Athens, India Route from Dammam

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced the expansion of its temporary flight operations from King Fahd International Airport to include three additional destinations: Istanbul, Athens, and Thiruvananthapuram.

The move comes amid the temporary closure of airspace in Bahrain and several countries across the region. The newly added routes will complement Gulf Air’s existing temporary services from Dammam, which already connect passengers to major global cities including London Heathrow Airport, Mumbai, Nairobi, Cairo, Chennai, Bangkok, Casablanca, Manila, Paris, and Frankfurt.

To support passengers, Gulf Air will provide transportation services between Bahrain and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam for travelers holding confirmed bookings on these flights.

Additionally, the airline is facilitating transit visa issuance through Saudi Arabia exclusively for passengers traveling to and from Bahrain who are using the airline’s organized ground transport services. Passengers whose final destination is Saudi Arabia must independently obtain a valid entry visa.

Travelers can book flights through the airline’s official website, mobile application, or authorized travel agents.
