HRH Prince Salman Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting

MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting, where ministers reviewed national developments, praised leadership efforts, and approved key policy measures.
During the session, the Cabinet commended the recent visit by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to individuals injured in the recent hostile Iranian aggression who are currently receiving medical care. The Cabinet noted that the visit reflects His Majesty’s commitment to personally follow up on their condition and treatment.
Ministers expressed gratitude for the King’s continued engagement with the national workforce across military, security, and civilian sectors, highlighting how such support strengthens morale and reinforces dedication to national duties. The Cabinet also extended its wishes for a swift recovery to those injured.
The Cabinet praised the efforts and readiness of the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard Bahrain, and the Ministry of Interior Bahrain, alongside all military, security, and civil authorities, for their professionalism and efficiency in addressing recent developments.
Recognition was also given to Bahraini citizens, described as “Team Bahrain,” for their contributions across various sectors in supporting the Kingdom during this period.
The Cabinet reviewed ongoing plans to mitigate the impact of recent regional developments, including measures to ensure the continued availability of essential goods and services and the stability of supply chains.
Ministers highlighted a joint statement issued by Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan condemning Iranian acts of aggression. The Cabinet reaffirmed that such condemnation extends to all forms of aggression, whether direct or through proxy groups operating in the region.
Marking the International Day of Conscience, the Cabinet underscored Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to promoting global peace and stability.
The Cabinet also congratulated the newly elected Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the occasion of its thirty-first session.
Several memorandums submitted by ministerial committees were reviewed, with the Cabinet approving a number of initiatives, including a draft law amending provisions related to the establishment and regulation of industrial zones.
In addition, ministers approved the continuation of the outdoor midday work ban, set to run from June 15 to August 31, covering work conducted under direct sunlight, based on successful outcomes in previous years.
The Cabinet further reviewed government responses to draft laws and proposals submitted by the Council of Representatives.
A series of ministerial reports were also discussed, including Bahrain’s participation in regional and international meetings addressing recent developments, diplomatic engagements such as the visit of Cyprus’ foreign minister, and outcomes from sessions of the League of Arab States and the GCC Transport Ministers Committee. Ministers also reviewed upcoming international engagements and visits scheduled for April 2026.
