The state’s final account and budget performance for the 2024 financial year are set to come under review in Tuesday’s parliament session, placing public spending and fiscal outcomes under renewed focus.

The report, prepared by the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, includes the final account for the year ending 31 December 2024, alongside detailed assessments of budget execution and transfers between government allocations. It has been referred to the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee for examination as part of parliamentary oversight.

For many, these figures represent more than financial records. They reflect how national resources translate into services, infrastructure and programmes that shape daily life.

From public services to long-term projects, how budgets are implemented can influence the quality, availability and consistency of what people rely on. In this sense, fiscal performance is closely tied to the lived experience of the community.

The upcoming session is expected to examine how effectively the budget has been implemented, and how spending aligns with national priorities and public needs.

As discussions approach, attention remains on ensuring that financial planning is measured not only in figures but also reflected in outcomes that support stability, strengthen services and meet the expectations of people across the Kingdom.
