Minister Reviews Progress of BCCI Elections
His Excellency Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, conducted an inspection visit to the election headquarters of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) to review the progress of voting for its 31st Board of Directors term.
The elections are being held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre in Sakhir, with the presence of several officials and stakeholders overseeing the process.
During the visit, the Minister highlighted the Chamber’s pivotal role as a strategic partner to the government, emphasizing its contributions to strengthening the national economy and advancing Bahrain’s comprehensive development plans under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Fakhro commended the successful organization of the elections despite current exceptional circumstances, noting the strong participation from the business community, which he said reflects a shared commitment to prioritizing Bahrain’s economic interests.
He also expressed appreciation to the organizing committee and all involved parties for ensuring a smooth and efficient voting process through professional execution and coordination.
The Minister described the elections as a key milestone in strengthening institutional work within the private sector, highlighting the responsibility demonstrated by Bahrain’s business community in enhancing the Kingdom’s economic environment and competitiveness.
Praising the high level of organization, he noted that the seamless conduct of the elections reflects Bahrain’s strong capabilities in managing institutional processes.
During his visit, Fakhro met with several candidates and reviewed their electoral programmes, stressing the importance of presenting impactful initiatives that support the growth and development of the business sector.
He concluded by wishing all candidates success, adding that their participation reflects a spirit of positive competition and collaboration aimed at supporting Bahrain’s continued economic progress.
