The Cabinet reviewed the plans and measures being implemented to address the impact of hostile Iranian aggression toward the Kingdom of Bahrain. It also assessed the availability of essential goods and the smooth flow of supply chains across the market, ensuring continued stability amid regional tensions.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting.
In line with preparations for the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday, HRH Prince Salman extended his best wishes to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the citizens and residents of Bahrain, and to Muslims worldwide.
Coordination
The Cabinet directed the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to continue close coordination with the private sector, emphasising the ongoing monitoring of markets, enhancing oversight, and safeguarding price stability for essential goods.
It commended the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), National Guard, Ministry of Interior, and security and civil authorities for their readiness and professionalism in protecting the Kingdom. The Cabinet also praised the cooperation and loyalty of citizens and residents, highlighting the contribution of the national workforce across sectors as part of “Team Bahrain.” It welcomed the United Nations Security Council resolution condemning the unlawful Iranian attacks on GCC countries and Jordan.
Trust
The Cabinet noted that it received the highest number of co-sponsors in the history of the Council, reflecting international trust in Bahrain and the far-reaching vision of HM the King in promoting global security and stability.
It extended condolences to the family of a Bahraini woman killed in a Manama residential area during the attacks, and wished a speedy recovery to those injured. Authorities’ readiness and professionalism in both security and medical response were commended.
