Deputy PM Attends Saudi Founding Day Reception

Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has reaffirmed the deep-rooted, historic, and fraternal ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighting the steady growth and development of relations under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He noted that the strong bond between the two nations reflects a unique model of unity and solidarity between their leaderships and peoples.

Shaikh Khalid also praised the ongoing efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, and His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, in further strengthening bilateral cooperation. He emphasized that their joint initiatives, particularly those emerging from the Bahrain-Saudi Coordination Council, continue to expand strategic partnership and integration for the benefit of both countries.

His remarks came during his attendance at a reception and iftar banquet hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, marking Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day anniversary. The event was attended by Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and a number of ministers and senior officials.

The Deputy Prime Minister extended sincere congratulations to the leadership, government, and people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion. He said Bahrain’s participation in celebrating Saudi Founding Day reflects the strength of the close bonds that unite the two kingdoms, stressing that Saudi Arabia’s achievements are a source of pride for every Bahraini.

Shaikh Khalid commended Saudi Arabia’s remarkable civilizational and developmental progress across various sectors, describing it as a continuation of a historic legacy that began three centuries ago under Imam Muhammad bin Saud and culminated in the unification of the Kingdom under King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Faisal Al Saud.

He further highlighted Saudi Arabia’s role as a strategic depth and a pillar of security for the region, praising its key contributions to maintaining regional stability and its supportive positions toward Bahrain at all times.

The Deputy Prime Minister also lauded Saudi Arabia’s leading efforts in serving Islam and Muslims worldwide, particularly its dedicated care for the Two Holy Mosques and the well-being of pilgrims. He expressed his wishes for continued progress, prosperity, and success for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
