Bahrain to Launch First International Helicopter Route to Dammam
The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications of Bahrain signed a Letter of Intent today with THC The Helicopter Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, to establish a helicopter air route connecting the Kingdom of Bahrain with the city of Dammam.
The Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications highlighted that the agreement aims to introduce a civil helicopter service between Bahrain and Dammam. He also noted that this route will mark the company’s first international service outside Saudi Arabia.
The Letter of Intent was signed during the launch event of Bahrain’s National Aviation Strategy 2026–2027, underscoring the kingdom’s commitment to expanding regional air connectivity and modernizing its aviation sector.
