Omani Naval Training Ship ‘Al Mubarakah’ Docks in Bahrain
The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Faisal bin Hareb Al Busaidi, affirmed that the Royal Navy of Oman vessel Al Mubarakah is a specialised training ship dedicated to developing human capital and enhancing the skills of Royal Navy personnel. He noted that the vessel carries 148 crew members on board.
The ambassador stated that the ship’s docking at Salman Port comes as part of efforts to strengthen fraternal ties and joint cooperation between the Royal Navy of Oman and the Royal Bahraini Naval Force, reflecting the deep-rooted relations between the two brotherly nations.
His remarks were made during a reception hosted by the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Bahrain on Wednesday evening to mark the arrival of Al Mubarakah at Salman Port. The event was attended by several ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, senior commanders and military officers.
Al Busaidi highlighted that the Royal vessel Al Mubarakah represents a national and sovereign symbol of the Sultanate of Oman and plays a pivotal role in official and military missions.
He further noted that the visit takes place amid the strong and continuous support enjoyed by Omani-Bahraini relations under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Oman, and his brother His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Both leaders place special importance on joint military and naval cooperation, recognising the strategic role of maritime security in safeguarding national interests and reinforcing regional stability.
The ambassador added that the visit forms part of ongoing joint cooperation and training programmes between the Royal Navy of Oman and the Royal Bahraini Naval Force, reflecting the depth of brotherly ties and the commitment of both sides to further enhance coordination and integration across maritime and military fields.
