Bahrain Pushes Aviation Sector Forward Through Strategic Partnerships

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Tony Fernandes, Chief Executive Officer of Capital A Berhad, at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to attracting investments and strengthening partnerships to drive growth in the aviation and logistics sector, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a leading regional hub in line with the comprehensive development vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the sector’s pivotal role as a driver of economic development and a cornerstone for enhancing Bahrain’s global competitiveness. He also stressed the importance of collaboration with Capital A to achieve shared goals and expand international air connectivity.

His Royal Highness further emphasised that investments in the sector create quality opportunities for Bahraini citizens through training and employment, highlighting the national workforce’s role in supporting economic growth.

Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A, expressed appreciation for His Royal Highness’s continued support of Bahrain’s aviation and logistics sector, wishing the Kingdom and its people ongoing progress and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
