Bahrain Invests in National Talent Through PM’s Development Program
Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, highlighted the key role of the Prime Minister’s Program for Developing Government Cadres in supporting and qualifying national talents. He emphasized that the program contributes to improving government work pathways and advancing Bahrain’s comprehensive development goals under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This came during a meeting with the 11th batch of the Prime Minister’s Program for Developing Government Cadres, where the Minister reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting national talent as a vital resource driving development and progress. He praised the achievements and contributions of Bahraini youth, reflecting the creativity and teamwork within the government sector.
Eng. Al Mubarak noted the Ministry’s long-standing role in serving Bahraini society, tracing municipal work back to 1919 with the establishment of the Manama Municipality. He highlighted the sector’s current transformation, which focuses on sustainable urban planning, community partnership, and adopting global best practices.
During the meeting, the Minister discussed key topics related to municipal and agricultural services, efforts to increase food and agricultural production, and the Ministry’s role as part of the government service system. He also outlined sustainable development initiatives, including the National Afforestation Plan, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035 and quadruple the number of mangrove trees in Bahrain.
Eng. Al Mubarak also spoke about major projects, digital transformation efforts, and the use of advanced technologies to deliver high-quality services.
Following the meeting, the 11th batch participants toured the Manama Municipality building, exploring its updated facilities and visiting the museum documenting the Municipality’s history and institutional development.
The participants expressed their gratitude to the Minister for his warm welcome, support, and encouragement. They reaffirmed their commitment to continue working with dedication and excellence to serve the Kingdom of Bahrain.
