Bahrain Welcomes Syria’s New Agreement with Kurdish Forces
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharq’s announcement of a new agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The agreement aims to implement a ceasefire, strengthen security and stability in conflict areas, integrate SDF members into the Ministries of Defense and Interior, and enhance state authority in eastern and northeastern Syria, including control over oil fields, among other measures supporting Syria’s unity and sovereignty.
The Ministry reaffirmed Bahrain’s firm support for the security, stability, and sovereignty of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, as well as the unity and territorial integrity of its lands. Bahrain also expressed support for completing Syria’s constitutional institutions to meet the aspirations of its people for security, societal stability, sustainable development, and a restored active role in the Arab and international arenas.
