Bahrain diplomacy for peace

Bahrain’s diplomatic approach is firmly rooted in the principles of peace, tolerance and coexistence.

The Kingdom is committed to dialogue, diplomatic solutions to conflicts, and international cooperation in line with the United Nations Charter and international law.

This was emphasised by His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He made the remarks while addressing a reception held to mark Bahrain’s Diplomatic Day, observed annually on January 14, which was attended by heads of Bahrain’s diplomatic missions abroad and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was held at Shaikh Hamad Palace in Gudaibiya, with His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, attending on behalf of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

In his address, H.E. Dr. Al Zayani said Diplomatic Day was designated by royal directive “in recognition of Bahraini diplomacy and its role in implementing the Kingdom’s foreign policy, strengthening international cooperation, and safeguarding national interests and those of Bahraini citizens.”

He expressed appreciation for His Majesty the King’s continued support and guidance, noting that this backing has enabled Bahraini diplomacy to enhance the Kingdom’s regional and international standing.
