Based on confidential intelligence and close security surveillance, a case involving the possession and trafficking of narcotics has been referred to the courts after suspects were arrested following a pre-arranged sting operation.

The High Criminal Court is set to examine the case. Investigations indicate that information received from confidential sources confirmed that the suspects were in possession of narcotic substances with the intent to sell and use them.

This intelligence led to the issuance of arrest and search warrants by the competent authorities.

Contact

A confidential source managed to establish contact with one of the suspects, who agreed to sell narcotics for 400 dinars, with a time and place for the exchange agreed upon.

At the appointed time, the source proceeded to the location under discreet surveillance by the arrest team.

Contact was made with the suspect, who arrived shortly thereafter. He was apprehended after identifying himself, and police officers carried out the arrest.

A search of the suspect’s vehicle led to the seizure of four bottles containing liquid narcotics.

A subsequent search of his residence uncovered 160 plastic containers filled with liquid narcotics, another large container of narcotic substances, 51 empty containers believed to have been used for repackaging drugs, two bank cards, and a sum of cash.

During questioning by the Public Prosecution, the suspect admitted to drug use, stating that the seized items found in the vehicle and residence belonged to him.
