Bahrain Delegation Brings New Year Wishes to Vatican During Cathedral Visit

Manama: A delegation from the Bahrain Ta’ayush Association for Religious Tolerance and Coexistence recently visited Our Lady of Arabia Cathedral as part of efforts to strengthen interfaith ties and promote religious coexistence in the Kingdom. The group met Father Saji Thomas, Head of Pastoral Services, to deliver a New Year greeting to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, wishing for a year of peace, love, justice, and understanding among different religions and cultures.

Association President Yousif Bozaboon said the visit reflects Bahrain’s commitment to dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect, highlighting the positive role of global religious leaders in spreading peace and rejecting hatred. Discussions focused on fostering collaboration between religious and community institutions to support social harmony, while also celebrating Bahrain’s model of coexistence under His Majesty the King. Bozaboon praised the cathedral’s humanitarian and spiritual work and reaffirmed the association’s dedication to initiatives that build bridges of understanding across faith communities.
