New Year Feels: Bahrain Tells Us Its 2026 Goals
With the dawn of a brand new year, Bahrain’s streets are buzzing not just with celebrations but with dreams for the year ahead. We hit the streets to ask locals and a few visitors about their goals for 2026, and the responses were as diverse as the people we spoke to.
An expat residing in Bahrain for years, started the conversation by praising the kingdom as a “beautiful country” where his daughter was born. Reflecting on 2025, he acknowledged the year’s ups and downs. On a personal note, he hopes to celebrate the New Year with family, watch fireworks, camp overnight, and spend quality time with friends and loved ones and wishes peace for all.
A local entrepreneur shared her ambitions for 2026, revealing that she plans to expand her beauty salon business across the GCC, mentor aspiring entrepreneurs, and explore new opportunities in her field.
Others shared more personal ambitions. A young visitor from Poland, plans to spend New Year’s Eve with her longtime friends in her hometown. Her goals for 2026 include cutting back on sugar, meeting new people at high school, and experiencing different cultures during an exchange week in France.
Creatives also chimed in with their resolutions. A local author is determined to write and publish more books, while an artist wants to embrace optimism, meet more people, and expand his artistic knowledge. Another interviewee simply hopes that 2026 will top 2025 in every way.
From entrepreneurs and students to artists and writers, Bahrain is entering the New Year with a mix of personal goals and global aspirations. Whether it’s expanding businesses, nurturing creativity, or spreading peace, one thing is clear: 2026 is set to be a year of growth, reflection, and celebration for the Kingdom’s residents.
Here’s to a happy, hopeful, and prosperous 2026!
