Student develops smart alarm device for driver and passengers’ safety

Mohammed Al- Sayed Hadi Alawi, a student at Al-Bilad Al-Qadeem Primary Preparatory School for Boys, has designed a smart alarm device aimed at enhancing driver safety and preventing passengers from being left inside cars and buses.
The innovation represents a significant step in leveraging technology and science lab tools for practical applications.
The student explained that the device automatically alerts the driver if a passenger remains inside the vehicle, with a continuous signal to remind the driver of their presence. He expressed pride in creating a product that offers tangible benefits to society.
Science teacher Professor Jaafar Hassan Al-Zayer, who supervised Alawi’s project, highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing student talent. He noted that initiatives like this reflect students’ creativity, diligence, and ability t o transform scientific ideas into practical solutions.
School principal Mr. Hussein Ali Al-Darazi emphasized that the project demonstrates the early scientific awareness, critical thinking, and creative abilities of Bahraini students, supported by the Ministry of Education’s ongoing efforts to enhance learning opportunities in government schools.
