Bahrain Authority Hosts Closing Ceremony of 4th Youth Ardah Camp
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, in collaboration with the Bahraini Ardah Society, recently held the closing performance of the Youth Ardah Camp at the Pearl Path Visitors Centre in Muharraq. The event was attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director-General of Heritage at the Authority, along with members of the Bahraini Ardah Society and visitors of the Muharraq Nights Festival.
Camp participants delivered an authentic Bahraini experience, showcasing the Kingdom’s rich heritage in a lively and festive atmosphere.
During the ceremony, the Authority honored the young performers for their dedication and efforts in contributing to the Bahrain Holidays Season 2025, which this year offers a variety of cultural, entertainment, and tourism experiences across the country, highlighting Bahrain as a destination full of history and tradition.
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities opened registration last November for the fourth edition of the Bahraini Ardha Training Camp, which welcomed participants aged 8 to 21. Workshops were held at the outdoor plaza of the Bahrain National Theatre, where 150 young people received intensive training in performing the traditional Ardah.
The camp is part of broader cultural initiatives aimed at preserving Bahrain’s heritage and fostering a connection between younger generations and their roots. By teaching the art of Ardah, the program not only raises awareness of local traditions but also ensures their continuation with a fresh, youthful energy.
