Muharraq Governorate Celebrates Bahrain National Days and Academic Excellence
The Muharraq Governorate hosted a grand celebration to mark Bahrain’s National Days and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession. The event was led by Governor H.E. Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al-Mannai and Deputy Governor Brigadier Jassim Mohammed Al-Ghatam. On behalf of the residents, the Governor extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He emphasized that the occasion reflects deep national loyalty and the Kingdom’s ongoing civilizational progress.
The ceremony also featured an awards presentation honoring employees for their academic achievements and dedication. His Excellency noted that such recognition is vital for fostering a motivating environment and developing local professional competencies.
AMAI Launches Bahrain Chapter with High Turnout and New Leadership
The Ayurveda Medical Association of India (AMAI) officially launched its Bahrain Chapter with a successful inaugural meeting in Manama. Distinguished academician and healthcare professional Prof. Fatima Al Mansoori formally inaugurated the event, which saw participation from 45 Ayurveda doctors and their families. The session, presided over by Dr. Binu J. Abraham, included a General Body Meeting where a new Executive Committee was unanimously elected. Dr. Binu J. Abraham will serve as President, alongside Dr. A.M. Ajumal as Secretary and Dr. Prashobh K.P. as Treasurer. Additionally, a Women’s Committee was formed with Dr. Athulya Unnikrishnan as Chairperson and Dr. Devi Muralidas as Convenor.
Bangladesh Embassy Marks International Migrants’ Day and National Expatriates’ Day
The Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain celebrated International Migrants’ Day and National Expatriates’ Day with a vibrant event focused on the welfare and contributions of the Bangladeshi community. Chaired by H.E. Ambassador Md. Rais Hasan Sarower, the program was attended by prominent dignitaries, including H.E. Ms. Aishath Ihma Shareef (IOM Chief of Mission), H.E. Mr. Hatem Abdulhameed Hatem (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and Mr. Fahad AbdulAziz Al Binali (LMRA Director).
The celebration featured a cultural dance performance by students from the Bangladesh School in Bahrain. The event concluded with an award ceremony where distinguished community members were honored for their contributions. Additionally, students were awarded certificates of appreciation for their outstanding academic results in board examinations. The program was hosted by First Secretary (Labour), Mr. Md. Mahfujur Rahman.
ISB Platinum Jubilee Festival: Tickets Released for Grand Cultural Celebration
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) officially launched ticket sales for its Platinum Jubilee Year Cultural Festival. Zayani Motors General Manager Rizwan Tariq handed over the tickets to Organizing Committee General Convener R. Ramesh in the presence of School Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varugese, Star Vision Chairman Sethuraj Kadakkal, and several prominent community leaders and school officials.
The grand festival is scheduled for January 15 and 16, with events running from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The first day will feature a high-energy musical concert by world-renowned musician Stephen Devassy and his band. The second day will showcase the artistic talents of ISB students, followed by a musical program led by playback singers Rupali Jagga and Abhishek Soni. Beyond the performances, the festival will offer a vibrant array of food stalls featuring Indian and local cuisines, alongside various games and recreational activities for families. A major highlight of the event is the raffle draw, where an MG car provided by Zayani Motors serves as the first prize. The draw is scheduled for January 18 under ministry supervision. Tickets are priced at two dinars, with all proceeds dedicated to infrastructure development, student financial aid, and employee welfare.
FED Bahrain Organizes Free Medical Camp
To celebrate the 54th Bahrain National Day, FED Bahrain, an association of Ernakulam residents from Kerala, organized a free medical camp in collaboration with the Al Hilal Manama Center. The event was inaugurated by noted social worker K.T. Saleem. Presided over by FED President Mr. Steven Mendes, the session began with a welcome address by Secretary Mr. Sunil Babu, followed by Chairman Mr. Francis Kaitharath, who highlighted the community’s need for such health initiatives.
Social activists and several FED officials, including Vice President Denny James and Ladies Wing President Nixy Jafin, offered their felicitations. Approximately 100 people benefited from the services provided at the camp. To conclude the event, FED honored the Al Hilal Center with a memento in appreciation of their coordination and support
