Rapid Progress on Busaiteen Bridge Project

Shaikh Mishaal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, conducted a field visit to the bridge project linking Shaikh Isa bin Salman Bridge with Road 105 in Busaiteen. The visit reviewed the final stages of construction and assessed the latest developments, accompanied by Engineer Ahmed Sami Jawad Al Tajer, Assistant Undersecretary for Roads, ministry officials, and the project team.

During the visit, project engineers briefed the Undersecretary on progress, remaining works, and preparations for the bridge’s opening. He praised the advanced pace of work, noting it reflects the combined efforts of the ministry, the contractor, and the consulting company.

Shaikh Mishaal highlighted the strong collaboration between all involved entities and commended the support of the General Directorate of Traffic, the Electricity and Water Authority, and other partners. He emphasized the project’s role in enhancing traffic flow, improving infrastructure, and supporting Bahrain’s economic development by connecting the Capital and Muharraq governorates more efficiently.

The bridge will feature two lanes in each direction, facilitating traffic from Manama via Shaikh Isa bin Salman Bridge to Road 105 and the Muharraq Ring Road, as well as traffic from the ring road toward Muharraq City. The project is expected to ease travel between Manama, Muharraq, Busaiteen, Al Sayyah, Diyar Al Muharraq, and nearby areas. The project will ease congestion at Shaikh Isa Bridge and Al Ghous Street.
