Bahrain Hails Lifting of US Caesar Act Sanctions on Syria

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the decision by the United States administration to lift sanctions imposed on the Syrian Arab Republic under the Caesar Act.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain’s appreciation of the move, praising the efforts of US President Donald Trump in reaching the decision.
The ministry also conveyed Bahrain’s congratulations to the Syrian leadership and government, describing the step as an important development expected to support Syria’s efforts to enhance stability and advance recovery, reconstruction and development.
Bahrain further reaffirmed its solidarity with the Syrian people, underscoring support for their efforts to maintain security and stability, protect Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and realise their aspirations for peace, growth and prosperity.
