Bahrain Wins Arab Excellence Award for Teacher Training

Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma met with the team overseeing the National Programme for Training and Qualifying New Teachers, run by the Ministry’s Human Resources and Teacher Training Directorate, after the initiative won the Arab Government Excellence Award 2025 in the category of Best Arab Initiative for Developing Education.

During the meeting, the Minister praised the team’s efforts since the programme was launched in 2022, highlighting its role as a cornerstone in preparing and upskilling new teachers. He noted that the intensive training provided has significantly enhanced the capabilities of national teaching staff by strengthening their core skills and knowledge, helping new educators embark on a path of excellence.

Dr. Juma expressed the Ministry’s pride in receiving this prestigious regional award, presented in partnership between the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Arab League. He commended all members of the supervising team and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continuing initiatives aimed at training new teachers, supporting current educators in the field, and providing them with the latest educational practices aligned with global standards to further elevate the quality of teaching.
