Grand Finale for Sopanam Vadyasangamam 2025 in Bahrain

The "Sopanam Vadyasangamam 2025," a grand percussion and cultural festival, concluded successfully at Adhari Park. The event was jointly organized by the Sopanam Vadyakala Sangham and Convex Events with the approval of the Bahrain Ministry of Tourism. Over ten thousand spectators gathered to witness the rhythmic spectacle. The program kicked off on a massive, 50-meter-long stage with a performance of Thayambaka. The festive atmosphere was amplified by a colorful procession featuring Thalappoli (ritualistic offering), ornate ceremonial umbrellas (Muthukudakal), various percussion ensembles, and dance performances by over a hundred artists.
The event saw the participation of several prominent figures, including H.E. Mohammad Husain Al Janahi, Member of the Bahrain Parliament; H.E. Vinod Jacob, Indian Ambassador; Padmashri Mattannur Sankaran Kutty Marar; and Padmashri Jayaram (Cine Artist). A major highlight was the presentation of the 'Sopanam Sangeetharatnam' Award to renowned musician and IIPA Chairman Ambilikuttan, in recognition of his comprehensive contributions to the world of music. Playback singer Latika Teacher was also honored at the ceremony.
A massive Panchari Melam ensemble, featuring over 300 percussion artists, was led by Padmashri Jayaram and Mattannur Sankaran Kutty Marar. The event also hosted the first-ever foreign Sopana Sangeetham performance with over 70 Sopana vocalists. The evening concluded with a spectacular Dance Synthesis, harmonizing the cultural diversity of Bahrain and India.
