Indian School Bahrain student wins gold in Khalid bin Hamad Chess Championship

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) student has won laurels to the institution by securing gold medal in the Khalid bin Hamad Chess Championship for Bahrain’s schools for the academic year 2025–2026.
Dhruvi Panigrahi of Class 8 secured gold medal and Individual Championship in 12-14 age category for girls. Jeff George of Class 4 emerged runners up in 9-11 age category for boys. They were trained under the guidance of Physical Education Teacher Saikat Sarkar. ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon.
Secretary V Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman and Hon. Member – Sports Dr. Mohammed Faizal, EC Members, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Senior School and Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh, and Physical Education HoD Sridhar Siva Samiayya congratulated the students and coach.
