Bahrain University College Takes Part in Marathon Supporting People with Disabilities

Manama: Bahrain University College participated in the Bahraini Festival for People with Disabilities through its involvement in the marathon organised by the National Centre for International Mobility, reaffirming its commitment to community engagement and support for people with disabilities.

Representing the university, Engineer Marwa Al Sayed, Director of the Community Service Centre, received an award in recognition of the college’s participation. The award was presented by MP Abdulwahid Abdul Aziz Qarata, Member of Parliament for the first district of Muharraq (Busaiteen), in the presence of Adel Sultan Al Mutawa, Chairman of the Bahrain Centre for International Mobility.

A delegation from Bahrain University College, comprising faculty members and students, joined the marathon, expressing pride in contributing to an event that promotes awareness of disability issues and strengthens the values of social responsibility.

The college stated that its participation reflects its commitment to supporting and empowering people with disabilities and enhancing the role of educational institutions in community service. It added that such initiatives foster inclusion and contribute to building a culture of volunteerism, humanitarian values and civic engagement among students.

Through this involvement, Bahrain University College continues to reinforce its national role by advancing partnerships and initiatives that serve and uplift this important segment of society.
