Bahrain Strengthens Ties with NATO in High-Level Security Dialogue

Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, welcomed a delegation from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, led by Lord Lancaster, UK House of Lords member and Chair of the Assembly’s Defence and Security Committee.

During the high-level meeting, Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s longstanding relationship with NATO and stressed the importance of deepening strategic partnerships with other nations and international organizations. He emphasized that such collaborations are key to advancing regional and global security while laying the groundwork for lasting stability and peace.

The discussions covered current regional and international developments, with both sides exchanging perspectives on emerging security challenges. The delegation and Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser agreed on the need to intensify joint efforts to resolve ongoing conflicts and safeguard global stability.

In addition to security matters, the meeting explored a wide range of topics of mutual interest, reinforcing the shared commitment to sustainable peace, development, and prosperity for the region and its people.
