Millennium Jet Eyes Bahrain as Regional Hub for Private Flights

Bahrain is taking bold steps to cement its position as a regional hub for private and executive aviation. The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Millennium Jet Management S.L., signaling a new phase of strategic international partnerships aimed at expanding the kingdom’s aviation sector.

His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, emphasized that Bahrain’s advanced regulatory framework and modern infrastructure make it an attractive destination for global aviation companies. “We are committed to creating a thriving environment for private aviation, offering diverse options to users and elevating the quality of services in the sector,” he stated.

The LOI, signed during the Dubai Airshow 2025, outlines a framework for cooperation to explore the establishment of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in Bahrain in line with international standards. The agreement also includes assessing technical, regulatory, and infrastructure requirements and exploring the possibility of establishing a regional operational base at Bahrain International Airport.

Mr. Oscar Martos, CEO and Founder of Millennium Jet Management, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Bahrain’s supportive regulatory environment and advanced operational infrastructure. “Our decision to expand into Bahrain reflects our confidence in the kingdom’s ability to host sophisticated private aviation operations and strengthen our regional footprint,” he said.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Bahrain’s strategy to boost economic diversification and enhance its status as a leading aviation destination in the Gulf, creating new growth opportunities and strengthening the kingdom’s role on the regional aviation map.
