BACA LAUNCHES 4TH 'INSPIRED BY A BOOK' EXHIBITION

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) launched the exhibition, co-organized with the "We All Read" Association, featuring artworks inspired by Nikolai Gogol’s novel, The Overcoat and the Nose. H.E. Alexei Skosyrev, Russian Ambassador to Bahrain, and Ms. Farah Mohammed Mattar, BACA Director General of Culture and Museums, inaugurated the event.
The exhibition is a creative initiative merging literature and visual arts, where artists—guided by Areej Rajab— transform the novel’s essence into unique pieces. Two panel discussions, including "From Novel to Sculpture," highlighted the crucial link between literature and artistic expression, aiming to enrich Bahrain’s cultural scene and encourage the imaginative intersection of word and image.
