Bahrain Bourse to Host “The Market 2.0” Conference Under the Patronage of HRH The Crown Prince

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain Bourse, in collaboration with the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM), will host “The Market 2.0” conference on November 20, themed “Disruptive Digital Transformation in Capital Markets.”

The high-level event will bring together over 300 participants and 18 expert speakers representing regional exchanges, financial regulators, brokerage firms, and global technology providers. It aims to explore how innovation and digitalisation are transforming capital markets—enhancing their efficiency, inclusivity, and sustainability.

The conference will feature keynote and panel sessions focused on advancing market depth, liquidity, and competitiveness in Bahrain’s capital markets. It will also highlight innovation enablers such as regulatory sandboxes and digital infrastructure that support market evolution.

The programme will open with a keynote address by Yusef Al Yusef, Chairman of Bahrain Bourse. The first panel will discuss strategies to strengthen Bahrain’s capital market ecosystem, featuring insights from Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain. The second panel will address the impact of emerging technologies, with CEOs of regional exchanges sharing perspectives on financial market innovation and the future of trading ecosystems.

Expressing gratitude to His Royal Highness for his patronage, Al Yusef noted that it reflects the government’s steadfast commitment to developing Bahrain’s capital markets sector and its pivotal role in supporting national economic growth. He added that the conference aligns with Bahrain’s Vision 2030 and its goals of sustainable and diversified development.

He further emphasised that Bahrain’s hosting of The Market 2.0 reinforces its status as a regional leader in capital markets, promoting cross-border collaboration, enhancing regulatory frameworks, and fostering a sustainable investment environment.
