The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned in the strongest terms the recent terrorist attacks that struck both India and Pakistan, underscoring the Kingdom of Bahrain’s stance against violence and extremism, and its unwavering commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.

In a statement released today, the Ministry denounced the two terrorist bombings that targeted a courthouse in Islamabad and a military college in the Wana area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, which led to multiple victims. The Kingdom conveyed its condolences to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and to the families of the victims, while wishing the injured a full recovery.

In a separate statement issued yesterday, the Ministry also expressed Bahrain’s deep condemnation of the horrific explosion that occurred in central New Delhi, which resulted in the death and injury of several innocent civilians. The Kingdom extended its condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the friendly Republic of India, wishing the injured full recovery.

The Ministry reaffirmed Bahrain’s firm and position rejecting all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism, stressing the need for concerted international efforts to confront such heinous acts that seek to undermine security and stability.

Underscoring the Kingdom’s long-standing commitment to dialogue and peaceful coexistence, the Ministry emphasized Bahrain’s belief that fostering cooperation between India and Pakistan is essential for maintaining regional harmony. The Kingdom of Bahrain remains dedicated to supporting every effort that promotes security, stability, and peace across South Asia and the wider world.

Pakistan Tightens Security Measures

Following the twin blasts in Islamabad, security has been heightened across Sindh and Punjab. The Balochistan government has closed the national highway leading to Punjab for all types of traffic. Notifications issued by the Home Departments of Sindh and Punjab have instructed police, district administrations, and sensitive institutions to implement advanced, coordinated, and proactive measures to counter potential threats. According to the Home Department of Sindh, all major cities in the province, including Karachi, will remain on high security alert until November 30.

India Investigates the Blast

However, in India, security authorities are investigating the car explosion that occurred in New Delhi on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the incident as a ‘conspiracy’ and pledged to arrest those responsible. The blast, which took place near the historic Red Fort in the densely populated Old Delhi area, killed 12 people and injured more than 30, according to Ritu Saxena, Chief Medical Officer at LNJP Hospital. The National Investigation Agency is leading the probe, which comes hours after the police arrested a gang and seized explosives and assault rifles. Following the incident, Home Minister Amit Shah directed officials to identify and apprehend all those involved.
