The First High Criminal Court has begun hearing the case of an international drug trafficking network accused of selling and using narcotics in Bahrain.
The gang consists of four defendants — a Bahraini man, a Bahraini woman, an Arab national, and an Asian national.
During the latest hearing, the Bahraini defendant denied trafficking drugs but admitted to personal use, a confession echoed by the Bahraini woman.
According to the Public Prosecution, between 2025 and 2026, the defendants were involved in possessing and trafficking heroin and cannabis with intent to sell, in violation of Bahrain’s anti-narcotics laws.

They were also found to be working for an international drug syndicate operating from outside the Kingdom.
Further charges were brought against two of the defendants for trafficking marijuana and methamphetamine, while the Bahraini defendants were charged with possessing hashish, methamphetamine, and pregabalin for personal use.
