Bahrain Chamber and Thailand Forge Stronger Economic Bonds

The Bahrain Chamber hosted a high-profile networking event with a Thai business delegation, underscoring the robust and growing trade partnership between the two nations.

The event, held at the Wyndham Grand Hotel, brought together key business leaders to explore future avenues of cooperation.

The Second Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Mr. Mohammed Al Kooheji, affirmed the strength of the bilateral relationship, noting that trade between Bahrain and Thailand had surpassed USD 384 million in 2024, marking a significant 14% increase from the previous year.

“This growing partnership offers strong potential for further cooperation,” Al Kooheji stated.

The meeting served as a dynamic platform, uniting Thai and Bahraini representatives from crucial growth sectors, including Food, Health, Pharmaceuticals, Technology, and Real Estate.

Al Kooheji emphasized that the gathering reaffirms both nations’ commitment to transforming shared synergies into tangible partnerships that drive investment and innovation.

Participation

The event saw participation from the Ambassador of Thailand to Bahrain, H.E. Sumate Chuljata, alongside Bahrain Chamber officials including Treasurer Mr. Aref Hajres, Vice Treasurer Mr. Waleed Kanoo, and Board Member Mr. Yousef Salahuddin.

Thai Ambassador H.E. Sumate Chuljata expressed appreciation for the Bahrain Chamber’s partnership, highlighting that this marks the third Thai business delegation to visit the Kingdom this year.
