Traffic Directorate Tightens Rules on Electric Scooter Use

The General Directorate of Traffic has intensified its efforts to enforce regulations governing the use of electric scooters across the Kingdom.
Authorities have reiterated that electric scooters must not be ridden on main roads, vehicle lanes, or road shoulders, warning that such practices endanger not only the riders but also other road users and disrupt the overall flow of traffic.
The Directorate emphasized its commitment to ensuring public safety through continued awareness campaigns and strict enforcement measures, urging users to adhere to designated areas for scooter use and follow traffic guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
