The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has announced an additional performance of the “Ali Bahar” concert on October 12, 2025, at the Bahrain National Theatre, following an overwhelming public response to the main event.
Tickets for the first concert, performed by the Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Dr. Mubarak Najm, sold out in record time, prompting organisers to schedule a second evening to accommodate the high demand.
The concert, held as part of the 34th Bahrain International Music Festival, celebrates the legacy of the late Bahraini music icon Ali Bahar, one of the Gulf region’s most influential artists.
The performance will feature orchestral renditions of his most beloved works, reimagined through contemporary arrangements while preserving the spirit of his timeless melodies.
A select group of distinguished Bahraini artists will join the orchestra in this musical tribute, creating a unique fusion of classical instrumentation and authentic Bahraini sound that honors Bahar’s enduring contribution to the national cultural identity.
