Palakkad Arts and Cultural Theatre Hosts Grand Onam Celebration in Bahrain
The Onam celebration organized by the Palakkad Arts and Cultural Theatre (PACT) in Bahrain garnered significant attention, successfully bringing together the expatriate community for a cultural spectacle. The event, held at the Golden Eagle Club in Salmabad, saw a massive turnout, with over 2,500 people participating. The function was presided over by PACT President, Ashok Kumar, and commenced with a welcoming address by General Secretary, Shivadas Nair. The celebrations were highlighted by the presence of several prominent figures. V.K. Sreekandan, MP (Member of Parliament for Palakkad), attended as the Chief Guest.Bahrain Parliament Member Mr Mohammed Hussain Janahi, Leading Bahrain-based business figures, including Mr Waleed Ibrahim Kanoo, Mr Pampavasan Nair, Managing Director of the Amad Group of Companies, Former Kerala Women's Commission Member Thulasi Sreekandan, Dr. K.S. Menon, Managing Director of Broden Contracting Company.
During the ceremony, a significant initiative was launched: a new group specifically formed for entrepreneurs who are members of PACT. The launch was inaugurated by Pampavasan Nair. Sajin Henry, who is leading the entrepreneur collective, detailed the group's objectives and future goals.
The Onam celebration also featured a variety of cultural programs and performances. A special highlight was the captivating musical feast led by renowned Malayalam cinema playback singer, Prashob Ramachandran. In recognition of his service to the organization and as he prepares to conclude his expatriate life in Bahrain, senior PACT official Subhash Menon was honored by MP V.K. Sreekandan during the function. The event concluded with a traditional and sumptuous Onam Sadya, prepared by Right Choice Caterers, offering an authentic taste of Palakkadan culinary tradition to all attendees.
