Asian woman lured with job, forced into prostitution

A 33-year-old Asian woman who came to Bahrain believing she had secured a cleaning job was instead forced into prostitution, according to court documents.
The First High Criminal Court has set October 14 to issue its verdict in the case.
Case details indicate the victim was first informed of an employment opportunity in Bahrain through a friend in her home country.

She later contacted the 38-year-old defendant, who arranged her travel by sending an airline ticket and visa via WhatsApp.
Upon arrival, the victim was taken by taxi to an apartment, where her passport was confiscated, her movements restricted, and she was told she would be working in prostitution.
Another woman was also found living in the apartment, receiving clients daily.
Escape The victim eventually managed to escape and reported the matter to the police.
Investigations revealed that the defendant had lured her under the pretense of legitimate employment, then exploited her vulnerable situation by depriving her of liberty and coercing her into prostitution through threats and deceit.
The Public Prosecution charged the defendant with human trafficking, alleging that she recruited, transported, received, and harbored the victim unlawfully, relying entirely on the proceeds of her exploitation.
