Washington DC: President Donald Trump has promised a $5,000 ‘Trump dividend’ to every American adult if Republicans retain control of Congress in November's midterm elections. 

Speaking at a party convention in Dallas, Trump pledged while urging supporters to pretend he is personally on the ballot.

The president offered no specifics on funding the proposal, which carries an estimated price tag exceeding $1 trillion, asserting only that the country is generating immense wealth. 

He pleaded with voters to mobilize for Republican congressional candidates as if his own name were appearing on the November 3 ballot.

The extraordinary offer comes as Republicans face significant political headwinds heading into the midterms. 

Public opinion polls place Trump's approval ratings in the low 30s, reflecting widespread voter frustration with high prices and the military conflict in Iran. Current projections favor Democrats to win both the House and Senate.

During his speech, Trump defended the unpopular war against Iran, asserting that victory would quickly drive down oil prices. 

He framed the upcoming election as a critical choice, warning attendees that a Democratic victory would transform the United States into a communist country.

The Dallas gathering represents the first Republican national convention held specifically for a midterm election. Designed as a two-night television rally, organizers aimed to highlight Trump's record and rally the party's conservative base.
