Over 150 Tourism Professionals Gather to Boost Bahrain’s Travel Sector
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) recently organized a meeting bringing together hotel representatives, travel agents, and tourism professionals in the Kingdom. The event saw participation from over 150 industry stakeholders and aimed to reinforce strategic partnerships and share expertise to support the growth of Bahrain’s tourism sector.
During the meeting, Ms. Dana Osama Al-Saad, BTEA’s Deputy CEO for Resources and Projects, highlighted the crucial role of the private sector as a key partner in developing tourism and diversifying the country’s offerings. She emphasized the Authority’s commitment to continuous collaboration to promote Bahrain as a preferred destination for visitors from various markets, contributing positively to the national economy.
The discussion also covered major tourism projects and destinations in Bahrain, alongside the Kingdom’s cultural and historical assets and unique identity. These initiatives align with the Tourism Sector Strategy 2022–2026.
Ms. Al-Saad also outlined upcoming promotional campaigns and presented the calendar of tourism events planned for the near future.
Additionally, she showcased the Authority’s latest digital initiatives, including a new smartphone app and an updated website, designed to make it easier for visitors to access tourism information and services while enhancing their experience in the Kingdom.
