8,700 emergency incidents logged in July

Emergency services handled 8,700 incidents in July 2025, according to Interior Ministry data, led by 4,979 National Ambulance calls and 2,352 handled by the Operations Centre and Emergency Police Patrols.

Police reports were divided into 5 per cent security cases, 31 per cent traffic matters, and 64 per cent other response incidents.

The Coast Guard dealt with 162 reports, including 105 search-and-rescue operations and vessel breakdowns, 11 maritime accidents, and 46 assists at sea.

Civil Defence responded to 1,207 calls, among them 222 fires, 575 assistance requests, 112 traffic accidents, and 16 reports of fallen trees, poles, and advertising hoardings.

Within the National Ambulance total were 3,647 medical cases, 476 transfers from private hospitals and health centres, 394 traffic accidents, 31 fires, and 431 miscellaneous incidents.
