His Excellency Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma visited historical schools in Muharraq Governorate at the start of the 2025–2026 academic year to review their readiness to welcome students and ensure the smooth running of the school day.
The visit covered Abdulrahman Al Nasser Secondary School for Boys (formerly Muharraq Marine School) and Omar bin Al Khattab Intermediate School for Boys (formerly Muharraq Northern School).
Both schools were reopened by the ministry following a comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation program, which included furnishing and equipping classrooms while preserving the architectural and historical character of the buildings. The initiative supports the long-term sustainability of the schools in providing educational services.
