Bahrain Opens Online Registration for Hajj Pilgrims Tomorrow
The Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs announced that online registration for this year’s Hajj will open tomorrow, Wednesday, through Bahrain’s National Portal using the updated eKey system.
The committee stressed that applicants must update their information in the national “Notifications” system to ensure they receive all alerts related to Hajj procedures. Applicants are also required to have a valid ID card. Each applicant can include up to four companions in their application, provided all details are correctly filled out on the official website of the Supreme Committee.
As part of the process, applicants and their companions must go through identity verification and confirm that they are free from medical conditions that would prevent them from performing Hajj, based on the approved health list.
After the registration period closes, those who meet the requirements will be notified of their initial acceptance. Selection will be based on priority and order of application. Hajj campaigns will then have time to announce their packages and prices.
Unlike last year, the committee explained that this year’s campaign selection will take place after official acceptance notifications are sent out. Starting from September 16, accepted pilgrims will be able to choose their Hajj campaign and confirm their booking by paying BD 150 per person as part of the total package cost, along with signing the unified electronic contract.
This year, the committee has received 67 applications from Hajj campaigns wishing to operate during the season.
