Council final session set

The Northern Municipal Council will hold its first sitting of the final session of the sixth term on 8 September, chairman Dr Sayed Shubbar Al Wadaei said.
Work begins on 1 September with the formation of the council’s committees. Chairs and members will be chosen in line with the council’s internal regulations and Municipalities Law No. 35 of 2001, after which the session opens formally.
Dr Al Wadaei said the council is revising its work plan to sharpen delivery on agreed priorities.
Recommendations
It will review recommendations and decisions already taken, set out the most workable methods for the next phase, and push projects that meet service and development needs. He named infrastructure and service projects among the main files for the final session, describing them as serving the public interest. The chairman said members will base their work on a shared policy of ‘understanding, dialogue and consensus’, and will continue joint tasks with partner bodies in municipal work.
