Bahrain Concludes National Cybersecurity Exercise CYBER SHIELD 2025
Dr. Shaikh Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Public Administration Institute, highlighted the significance of the CYBER SHIELD 2025 national cybersecurity exercise, describing it as a key step in raising awareness and strengthening Bahrain’s capabilities to protect its digital infrastructure. The initiative supports the kingdom’s achievements amid the rapid pace of digital transformation.
The exercise concluded under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, with organization by the National Cybersecurity Center. This year’s focus was on supply chain attacks, a growing global threat.
Dr. Shaikh Rana emphasized that cybersecurity is now a strategic necessity to ensure the continuity of vital services and safeguard sensitive information. She noted that Bahrain is leading the way in enhancing its security readiness in line with global best practices.
“CYBER SHIELD 2025 reflects a nationwide effort to raise awareness, develop skills, and strengthen a culture of information security,” Dr. Shaikh Rana said. She stressed the importance of local and international partnerships in building strong digital resilience that protects the kingdom’s interests and supports its sustainable development.
The Director General also underlined the need for advanced initiatives to increase awareness of cyber threats and attacks. She highlighted ongoing collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Center to design specialized programs and training for government personnel, boosting their skills and preparedness to face future cyber challenges.
