Bahrain Strengthens Ties with U.S. Congress and Senate Officials
Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ahmad, CEO of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat), welcomed a delegation of U.S. Congress and Senate staff at the center’s headquarters. Al-Ahmad highlighted the strong, long-standing relationship between Bahrain and the United States, built on strategic partnership, close cooperation in regional security and stability, sustainable development, and knowledge exchange.
The U.S. delegation held an extensive meeting with Derasat researchers, reviewing key research programs and intellectual projects. Discussions also focused on strategic issues of mutual interest, including regional security, energy transitions, and technological innovation, aimed at strengthening communication and sharing expertise between the two sides.
The delegation also visited the center’s Artificial Intelligence Lab for Renewable Energy and reviewed its ongoing projects.
At the conclusion of the visit, both parties praised the deep historical partnership between Bahrain and the United States, affirming that the strategic relationship serves as a model for promoting security, stability, and long-term intellectual and research cooperation.
