Bahrain Opens Registration for Hajj 1447 AH (2026) on September 3
The Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah held a meeting today, Wednesday, to review preparations for the upcoming Hajj registration season 1447 AH (2026 AD). Registration will open on Wednesday, September 3, at 9:00 AM and will continue until midnight on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, through the electronic Key platform via the official Hajj portal: haj.gov.bh.
The committee reviewed the updates on the Hajj platform, which aim to simplify the registration process and provide smoother services. The platform allows applicants not only to submit their Hajj requests but also to view available campaign offers and check the status of their applications.
The committee urged all prospective pilgrims to register first on the eKey 2.0 application and to update their personal information in the National Government Notifications System (“Ishaarat”) via the Bahrain national portal (bahrain.bh) to ensure accuracy.
Applicants must have a valid ID card, and each registration can include up to four accompanying family members. Approved Hajj campaigns are required to complete their service offers and profiles on the platform, allowing applicants to review the services without needing unofficial details at this stage.
Regarding the registration process, the committee explained that after the registration period ends, eligible applicants will be notified of their preliminary acceptance based on priority and first-come-first-served criteria. Campaigns will then have sufficient time to announce their packages and prices, with the date for selecting a campaign to be announced later.
