Worker’s appeal rejected

A worker’s bid to overturn a deportation order was rejected by the High Administrative Court because he lodged his case after the 30-day legal limit.
The court said the challenge was out of time and therefore inadmissible. The dispute began when he applied to renew his residency in Bahrain and was instead served with a decision ordering his permanent removal.
He challenged that decision by filing a grievance with the Ombudsman and Protection Centre, asking for the deportation to be cancelled.
The grievance was refused and the administrative notice of deportation remained in place.
