King Hamad Highway to Ban Heavy Trucks During Peak Hours

Starting September 1, 2025, heavy vehicles over three tonnes will be banned from King Hamad Highway during peak hours.

The General Directorate of Traffic said the restriction will apply from 6:30 to 8:00 am and 2:00 to 3:00 pm to ease traffic and improve road safety.

Emergency and licensed public service vehicles are exempt from the rule.
