The Interior Minister, His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, has reaffirmed the vital role of Bahraini families and traditional community values in preserving national identity.

General Shaikh Rashid made the remark during a visit to West Riffa, where he met with citizens as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen societal partnership and civic engagement.

The visit, attended by His Highness the Southern Governor and senior officials from the Ministry of Interior, comes under the framework of the Bahrainouna national plan, which aims to promote belonging to the nation and reinforce values of nationalism.

General Shaikh Rashid conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He praised the people of Riffa for their loyalty, unity, and steadfast support for national initiatives that uphold Bahrain’s heritage and social harmony.

Highlighting the enduring role of traditional majlis gatherings, the Minister emphasised their importance in instilling values of respect, dialogue, and cohesion among future generations.

He described the majlis as a cornerstone of Bahraini cultural life that continues to promote strong community bonds and national solidarity. “The preservation of our national identity is a shared responsibility,” the Minister said, “and Bahraini families are central to this effort through their continued commitment to our values, customs, and social traditions.”

General Shaikh Rashid commended Riffa residents for their contributions to public security and their appreciation of national values. He listened to citizens express pride in their heritage, loyalty to the leadership, and appreciation for the government’s efforts to preserve Bahrain’s unique social fabric.
