As part of ongoing efforts to protect marine resources and uphold the law, the Coast Guard recently conducted a joint awareness and inspection campaign in Budaiya. The initiative was carried out in cooperation with the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the General Directorate of Marine Resources at the Supreme Council for Environment, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Ministry of Health, and the Northern Municipality.
During the campaign, several violations were detected, including breaches of fishing regulations and the presence of unlicensed expatriates. Legal measures were taken accordingly.
