Bahrain is set to experience a relentless wave of rising temperatures and intense sunshine throughout the upcoming week, with the mercury climbing to a searing 44°C by midweek, according to the latest weather forecast from the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.
From Sunday, June 8 to Thursday, June 12, residents across the Kingdom should prepare for extreme heat conditions, with daytime temperatures progressively increasing from 41°C to 44°C and nighttime lows hovering between 26°C and 31°C.
Day-by-Day Forecast Snapshot:
Sunday (June 8): Eastern winds at 5–15 KT, highs of 41°C, lows of 26°C.
Monday (June 9): South-eastern winds pick up to 17 KT, temperatures hit 42°C.
Tuesday (June 10): The heat intensifies, reaching 43°C, with lows of 30°C.
Wednesday (June 11): Peak temperatures soar to 44°C, with no signs of cloud cover.
Thursday (June 12): Another blistering day with 44°C highs and variable winds.
With clear skies dominating the forecast, the sustained heat is expected to place additional stress on vulnerable groups and increase demand on energy and water resources. The Ministry advises residents to avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, stay well-hydrated, and minimize outdoor activities unless necessary.
Health authorities are also urging caution, particularly for outdoor workers, the elderly, and children, as prolonged exposure to high temperatures can increase the risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
The meteorological report underscores the onset of Bahrain’s peak summer conditions — a time when both community awareness and preparedness are key to ensuring safety and well-being.
