Work on a new sewage network in Block 1034 in Malkiya, set to serve 345 homes, is two-thirds complete, the Works Ministry has said.
The project, which remains on track, includes the installation of both main and secondary sewage lines stretching 8,290 metres.
It also involves the construction of 838 inspection chambers, with road works to follow in affected areas once underground works are finished.
The ministry said the network is being built as part of its wider effort to connect homes and buildings across Bahrain to modern sanitation systems, ensuring more people benefit from this essential service.
It added that sanitation schemes like this one are key to supporting sustainable development and raising service quality across the country, while also helping to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Residents in the area were urged to cooperate with crews and follow safety guidance while the work is under way.
